Serenity Garden

Heartland Hospice Serenity Garden

Heartland Hospice Moose Jaw has a vision to create “An end-of-life haven in Moose Jaw for individuals and their families, supported by a circle of compassionate care.” That circle of care is not only within the walls of the care facility, but in the green space that lies beyond the windows and doors as well. It is with that vision in mind that Heartland Hospice are in the process of “phasing-in” the Serenity Garden: a serene refuge for Pioneer Lodge patients and their families to retreat to.

Through the collaboration and generosity of our community, we have seen great strides in the progress with Phase 2 coming to completion August, 2022. We are deeply grateful to those who have given financially and physically. Their generosity has helped create an outdoor haven that is being appreciated beyond measure.

Rob and Margaret Rigetti

The Serenity Garden outside Pioneer Lodge began as a clean slate and today has blossomed into a beautiful tranquil space where both patients and families can enjoy nature’s therapeutic effects. The healing power of this space is immeasurable, and patients find themselves uplifted and nurtured in ways that medicine cannot touch.

‘You who walk, maybe with troubled thoughts,
Come, enter here and rest
And may the sweet serenity of growing things
And the heavenly peace
Be mirrored in the soul’.

Heartland Hospice is happy to announce Rob and Margaret Rigetti have donated $75,000 and are now our garden sponsors.  They will also be receiving a giclee canvas reproduction of ‘Petals of Hope’.

“Just being surrounded by bountiful nature, rejuvenates and inspires us.”
