Rob and Margaret Rigetti
The Serenity Garden outside Pioneer Lodge began as a clean slate and today has blossomed into a beautiful tranquil space where both patients and families can enjoy nature’s therapeutic effects. The healing power of this space is immeasurable, and patients find themselves uplifted and nurtured in ways that medicine cannot touch.
‘You who walk, maybe with troubled thoughts,
Come, enter here and rest
And may the sweet serenity of growing things
And the heavenly peace
Be mirrored in the soul’.
Heartland Hospice is happy to announce Rob and Margaret Rigetti have donated $75,000 and are now our garden sponsors. They will also be receiving a giclee canvas reproduction of ‘Petals of Hope’.

A few words from W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home:
“Jones Funeral Home believes in the importance of Heartland Hospice in the community and the amazing benefits it will bring to families and our community.
We decided to support Heartland Hospice simply because we strongly believe how impactful this organization will be to the community and we wanted to show our support and appreciation for all the hard work this organization has done to make this a reality.
We value all the organization does but if we have to choose one it would be advocacy. Compassion and empathy in dying are important.
Hospice care is multi-dimensional end-of-life care where there is an understanding not only of clinical and physical care but also emotional care, along with social and spiritual needs. All are very important in order to provide dignity in dying. Everyone is different and each of these needs matter.
As the longest-running funeral home in Moose Jaw, we have met with a number of families and we hear the gratitude in families’ voices when their loved one passed on with dignity, respect, and compassion. This is truly a priceless gift a family can receive.
All of us at W.J. Jones are incredibly proud to support the My Wish program and look forward to the partnership with Heartland Hospice.”

Jim, Sandi, and Cailean Connolly
“When we think of ‘Community’ and what defines a community; in essence it is about a group of people with diverse characteristics and backgrounds who are linked by social ties, who share common perspectives, and who engage in joint action collectively to achieve a common goal.”
Heartland Hospice is so grateful to Jim, Sandi, and Cailean Connolly who made a donation of $25,684 and as such were awarded the level of ‘Investors’ in our Capital Campaign. Their family will be hung in stained glass as a sponsor of the Family Room in our hospice wing. and will also be receiving a giclee watercolor reproduction of ‘Petals of Hope’ and their name will be hung in a stained glass piece made by a local artisan in the hospice Family Room once it is built. They will also be receiving a giclee canvas reproduction of ‘Petals of Hope’.
The Connolly family sent in a message to Heartland Hospice which was read on the evening of our gala in May of 2023.
“Our family is aware of the ongoing challenges your organization has faced in promoting and establishing such an important and worthwhile cause. Your group is now at the stage where many of its fundraising objectives have been achieved and it is ready to begin seeing its vision move ahead.
As with most fundraising campaigns, overall targets are set conservatively and often don’t include spare funds for the extras that could help make the project or service even better.
We share your belief in this cause and wish to show our gratitude for your efforts by making a donation that can help to provide a few of the extras that may still be missing on your wish list.
Sincerely, Jim, Sandi, and Cailean Connolly”
“Community is much more than belonging to something; it’s about doing something together that makes belonging matter.”
