Christmas is a time of joy, but it can also be a time of sadness and nostalgia. Many of us are missing loved ones and Christmas can bring that sense of loss to the forefront. Even while surrounded by family, we remember Christmases past and those who once shared them with us. While the holidays aren’t an easy time for those who are mourning, they can provide an opportunity to create a new ritual in remembrance of those who have departed. This year Heartland Hospice is inviting Moose Jaw to light a memorial Christmas ornament in honour of a loved one.
For every $25 donation, the name of your loved one will be placed on a solar ornament to honour their memory and be hung on a tree, donated by The Moose Jaw Co-op, outside Pioneer Lodge for the residents to enjoy. Click on the donate button or if you prefer, you can e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org and leave the name of your loved one in the banking comment section.
An ornament will also be placed on our virtual tree. Hover over the ornament to see your loved ones’ name.
